Philip Hinge was born on March 9th, 1988 in Seattle, WA. After growing up in California and moving to the East Coast as a teenager he began to expand and nurture his artistic impulses. As a senior in high school he decided to pursue his artistic talents by taking his first art class, just one month before applying to college.  The following year Philip began his education at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). At MICA he picked up a paint brush for the first time and began his career as a painter. He graduated cum laude with the “painting department recognition award” with his BFA in Painting in 2010. Philip currently lives and works in Baltimore. He is represented by the Conner Contemporary’s *gogo emerging artists.
